Jan Nkanyane (COO GM Plant Solutions)

Jan Nkanyane is a Mining Professional with extensive technical, managerial and leadership experience in opencast and underground mining. He studied Mining Engineering at the University of Johannesburg and later completed Post-Graduate studies in Business Administration (PGDip and MBA) with the University of the Free State.

 

He also completed senior leaders' development and executive development programs at various universities in South Africa. He has over 17 years of production and operational experience built on the backbone of discipline, strategy, tactical leadership, innovation and high-performance culture. He is a continuous improvement professional with a risk-based approach, a strong safety mindset and a broad understanding of mining legislation.
